New Course Coming to Totally Novel
Getting Out of Your Own Way: How to Fast Draft w/Lindsay Eagar
I am so excited to announce Totally Novel's first writing workshop! We have partnered up with the incredible Lindsay Eagar to offer a two-week fast drafting course for all Totally Novel members, free!
This workshop will open on June 26th, 2020 and will include:
- PDF outlines
- Dedicated group
- Live chats with Lindsay
- Exclusive discount for live attendees for 25% off Lindsay's 80/20 Fast Drafting class
Lindsay's 80/20 course came recommended to me through an Instagram story by Alexandra Bracken (The Darkest Minds author). I signed up for her new course all about revisions and knew I wanted to partner for something special. And guys, she's amazing and agreed to do this for us! She has created new content specifically for this course, that way when you fall in love and want to take her 80/20 course, you'll get new material!
Here's a little more about Lindsay and 80/20:
80/20: The Fast Draft Method is a six-week or six-module course, depending on how fast you want to jump through it. Each week includes lectures, exercises, self-examinations, and group video Q&As with Lindsay to keep you on track.
In this course, you will learn:
how to wire your subconscious to produce what you need for your story
how to decipher your own writing rhythms, preferences, and boundaries so you can be successful
how to celebrate the writing process and write what you want to write
how to be happier with your work
how to set yourself up for a smooth transition into revision
how to write not necessarily faster, but more efficiently
And, of course, basic productivity hacks—a whole cache of tools to use when you are stuck, when you are tired, and when you are burned out.
You get lifetime access to tools, considerations, and resources to challenge your beliefs about your output and help you become a more efficient writer.
Lindsay Eagar was born and raised just outside of Salt Lake City, Utah. She lives surrounded by mountains with her husband and two wild daughters. She loves sharks, coffee, flannel, winter, roller-blading, baking, running, playing the piano, non-fiction about jungle exploration, and making up stories.
Her debut, Hour of the Bees, came out from Candlewick Press to critical acclaim, and her follow-up, Race to the Bottom of the Sea, was named by Booklist as one of the “50 best middle grade books of the century.” Her most recent work, The Bigfoot Files, is out now, and she has more books under contract with Candlewick, both MG and YA.
She is represented by Victoria Marini at Irene Goodman.
